“Alber 2025” provides answers. Joint development and definition of a lived vision.

The Alber GmbH is the specialist and international market leader for lightweight, user-friendly and thus versatile mobility aids for wheelchair users. In addition, the company has been developing and producing high-quality rear motors for e-bikes under the brand name “neodrives” since 2012. 2019 was the market launch of “SMOOV one”: an innovative electric drive that can be flexibly docked onto and undocked from wheelchairs at any time. Alber continues to consistently develop its products and range of services, growing rapidly and currently employing around 450 people.

In 2004, Alber GmbH was acquired by Invacare Deutschland GmbH, making it part of the internationally active Invacare Corporation based in Elyria, Ohio, USA. To ensure that market opportunities and needs continue to be identified at an early stage in the future, it is necessary to permanently monitor the competition, market and customer requirements.

Alber needs a clear vision in order to optimally align the company and master the challenges ahead. The management has therefore decided to approach the development of the vision “Alber 2025” in a structured way in 2021 – together with a core team of key employees, This strategy process was accompanied by Tomorrows Business.

The goal is a clear and visualized vision by 2025, which – broken down into strategic goals, milestones and individual measures. It has to be supported by the employees, must have an impact in all areas of the company and needs to be implemented in day-to-day business.
